Blu Pizzeria, Dubai’s homegrown sourdough favorite, is set to open its newest location in Nad Al Sheba this January. To mark the occasion, the brand will debut an exclusive new creation crafted especially for the neighbourhood, the Nad Al Sheba Pizza.
Founded by Emirati entrepreneur Abdelrahman Alteneiji, Blu Pizzeria blends authentic Napoli-style techniques with bold Middle Eastern flavours. Drawing inspiration from his travels, Alteneiji created a brand that unites the warmth of tradition with a modern, local twist.
The Nad Al Sheba opening follows Blu’s expansion across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Riyadh, introducing a neighbourhood-style space designed for family, community, and connection. The restaurant features warm neutral tones, natural textures, a calm minimal aesthetic, and an open kitchen that celebrates the theatre of the woodfired oven, the heart of the Blu experience.
The menu remains rooted in Blu’s favourites while spotlighting one standout addition for the neighbourhood: the Nad Al Sheba Pizza. Created exclusively for this location, it features premium Black Angus beef seasoned with Arabic spices and finished with a touch of balsamic glaze. Guests can also enjoy Blu’s much-loved staples, including the Short Ribs Pizza, each wood-fired to achieve the brand’s signature light, airy, and perfectly charred crust.
The new interior draws inspiration from the serene textures and muted tones of mountain landscapes, where natural stone and wood are reimagined through contemporary urban forms and set against raw concrete surfaces. Conceptualised and executed by Movs Studio, the design is anchored by a sculptural travertine bar counter that cuts diagonally through the space, emerging as its central architectural feature and reflecting the dialogue between nature and the city.
“What started as a small pop-up has now grown into a community,” says Alteneiji, founder and owner of Blu Pizzeria. “Nad Al Sheba is an important milestone for us, another chance to share our sourdough craft, our story, and the flavours that define Blu with an even wider audience.”
Opening this January, Blu Pizzeria Nad Al Sheba marks another exciting step in the brand’s journey as it continues to prepare for its upcoming international launches in London, New York, and Los Angeles, spreading its artisanal philosophy from Dubai to the world.
